So the purpose of Khusuma is to achieve a financial goal or a right. Such a dispute is sometimes made to prove one’s opinion, and that can also be considered a kind of regaining a right.
Khusuma is sometimes a disease of the tongue that can cause enmity and disintegration of human society.
Thus, not every khusuma is considered a moral vice. Ethics scholars divide Khusuma into two types: Commendable and unacceptable. The intellect and the religion commend some types of Khusuma while they disapprove of some other types.
Khusuma is acceptable only if a person is certain of his rightfulness or has a religious proof about it and finds no other way to regain his right.
Since injustice is improper, the human intellect considers it improper to accept injustice, so the human intellect praises confronting injustice, and if there is no other way than Khusuma to regain the right, the human intellect praises and recommends it, and of course, whatever the intellect approves, so does religion.
In such a case, Khusuma is regarded as one of the virtues of the force of anger.
Khusuma has been warned against when the person knows that he is not right or has doubts about it.
The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that the most hated person in the sight of Allah is the most obstinate, quarrelsome person.

The Prophet (PBUH) also said that if a person shows stubbornness in a Khusuma without being sure that he is right, he faces divine wrath as long as he is in that state.
Some roots of unacceptable Khusuma include despitefulness, jealousy, and love of wealth or position. A practical way to cure this disease is to use its opposite, which is Teeb of Kalam.
Teeb of Kalam means to use beautiful and polite words. One should make a commitment to have Teeb of Kalam, that is, one should make an effort to remain polite and use proper and beautiful words when speaking to another person.
Just as Khusuma, Maraa, and Mujadilah create enmity, their opposite, Teeb of Kalam, creates friendship and amity. When others see that a person is careful in what he says, they are attracted to him. If this trait is prevalent in the society, it brings unity and accord, unlike Khusuma that causes disunity and discord.
